- 2 / 5By Chris WilliamsAs a transplant from the southwest, I was missing my Mexican food, and I had heard good things about El Oasis. The reality, though, is that it's bland. Beans and rice tasted almost completely unseasoned. Burrito was filled with unseasoned meat. The tacos, at least, came with a lime wedge and real queso fresco. I think the recipes were probably deliberately made blander to suit local taste, and that's too bad. Two stars because it's still better than some other local options.August 09, 2016
